The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District Board of Education in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, is seeking a highly qualified leader to serve as Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position by July 1, 2026.
McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the Board of Education in identifying and screening the candidates.
Enrollment: 4,900
Location: Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin – 5 miles west of Lake Wissota
The Qualifications
1. Strategic Vision & Execution within a Coherent Governance Framework: Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans aligned with Board policies. Ability to drive continuous improvement, adapt to evolving educational standards, and inspire/mentor leaders to execute the vision effectively, all within the principles of coherent governance.
2. Community Engagement & Collaboration: Expertise in fostering strong partnerships with educators, staff, families, community, businesses, and organizations to create a shared vision for educational excellence and transparency while empowering leadership at all levels to engage collaboratively.
3. Student-Focused Leadership: A commitment to student learning and preparedness through innovative teaching practices, technology integration, and personalized support. The successful candidate must align with the district's "Mega Result" and mission, inspiring a culture of leadership focused on student success.
4. Data-Driven Decision Making: Skill in using data, including the "College and Career Ready Scorecard," to inform decisions, drive continuous improvement, and measure the impact of strategic initiatives while fostering data literacy and leadership among the administrative team.
5. Ethical and Professional Accountability: A demonstrated commitment to uphold integrity, maintain high professional standards, and ensure accountability across all levels of the district, while setting a clear example of ethical leadership.
6. Change Management & Adaptability: Proven ability to effectively manage change, encourage resilience, and navigate challenges within a constantly evolving educational environment. The successful candidate must lead and inspire others to embrace innovation and adapt to new circumstances.
Salary projection: $210,000, commensurate with experience.
